Just keep swimming...

Rob, Madison, Hana and I went over to the Whistling Straights house yesterday and went swimming in the pool. Since the house still hasn't sold, it only seemed fair that we use the pool. It has been really hot and Madison wants to learn to swim, so we worked on some basic safety with her. She got much more comfortable as the time went by. Hana just slept in her bouncy seat. It was pretty hot and since the 3 of us were in the pool, she was just in the shade and let us know when it was time to go! 

I didn't take any pictures, but they are in my mind! I am going to go there this morning and swim too, but more for the exercise. :) 

Oh what a wonderful morning...

So Rob had to go to the office this morning and then he has a meeting with a homeowner. So I have both girls by myself. Thank GOD Hana is sleeping. But it was interesting to take a shower with Hana in her bouncy seat in the bathroom and Madison naked as the day she was born standing at the shower curtain deciding if she was going to join me or not. Then Hana would cry and Madison would run over to her and put the pacifier into her mouth. (not very gently I might add) Then Madison would come back and open the shower curtain and stand there. And make comments about me being naked... 

Oh what a wonderful morning... 

Michael Jackson

Yes I am posting about Michael Jackson. But there is so much to say - between him & grateful dead that is the soundtrack to my childhood. (perhaps a strange combination but it is mine!) 

This video shows all of his talent in one spot. the compilation is amazing! To bring all of these people together. What a tragic loss. And on top of it all it makes me feel old!

1 month old

WoW!! Hana is one month old today!! What a wild and crazy month it has been too! 

She is starting to maybe smile. She does it in her sleep but not really awake. She is gaining weight like a rock star! she was 8 lbs 1 oz when born, 9 lbs 8 oz at 16 days and yesterday she was 11 lbs 13 oz!! By comparison, Madison was 8 lbs 13 oz when she was born but 10 lbs 9 oz at 1 month! I guess the breast-feeding with Hana is going great! She does eat all the time. 

She is really strong. She can hold herself up on her arms when she in on her belly. She has done that from day one. She also moves her legs so that she can actually push herself forward. I think she will be an early crawler/walker. 

I am going back to work in about a month. July 28th. I am excited to go. I am excited to get back to some sort of schedule. 

Hana has had a few really good nights of sleep. Where she slept from about 10 pm to 4:30 am. but other nights where she is up every hour until I just give up and put her in our bed. Right now she is sleeping in her swing. She is a paci lover. She sucks just for comfort I think so the eating a lot and gaining weight is because I just let her nurse a lot. 

I hope the sleep gets better soon. Can't wait to see what the next month brings. :) 

Oh and by the way

Hope I don't get in trouble for posting this, but the biggest news in our family (actually was NOT me having another child!!) is that my brother is engaged!! YEAH!! He and his bride to be were in Prague (I think??) and he asked and she said yes! I can't wait to meet my new sister.

So I have suddenly slacked at this blog thing. Mostly because of the slow internet. Oh and the newborn. Here are some pictures for everyone!
