Busy busy busy

So we went to NYC the week before Thanksgiving for Rob's brother Dustin's wedding. It was the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to! Madison was a flower girl and she did a great job. She walked down that aisle all by her self. I was one proud mama!

Thanksgiving was really good. We went to Rob's Grandparents house and had a lot of family and even more food so it was great.

We started full fledged potty training this week and Madison is doing great. She was dry all night and almost made it to the potty this am. Since I have dogs, I am used to cleaning up messes on the floor. So that didn't bug me too much. I made a BIG deal out of it and she got 2 M&M's and a sticker. We'll see.

I also went to the Dr. yesterday and Numero Dos is growing well. HR was 137... (Wives tale is below 150 is a boy and above it s girl... we will see!) she offered to do an ultrasound yesterday to take a peek and see if we could tell but Rob couldn't be there so we are waiting until our 20 week apt. Which is on New Years Eve!!! I am thrilled! Pregnancy is going great so far, no big complaints and have only gained 1 pound so far so that is good. The Dr said that was fine too. We discussed that the more weight you gain, usually the bigger the baby is (usually) so if I can keep my weight gain to say 30 lbs instead of the 50+ I had last time it could result is a smaller baby thus a better shot for the VBAC. Lets all hope so! :)

Okay - I did a part of it

I DID IT!!! I got all my video onto my computer this weekend. But one thing that I did not anticipate is that they are HUGE... like one 1 minute video was something like 750MB. SO I guess I will NOT be posting any on here. Or at least not until I can figure out how to make it smaller. :)

But I was AMAZED at how little she was. And I was watching the video of the first time that she walked and it was so cute. And Madison sat in my lap this weekend at the computer and watched some of it too. She was watching the one of her learning to walk and I started getting teary and she said "what's wrong mommy?" and I said, "nothing baby. that is you before you knew how to walk!" and her eyes got big and she looked at it again and said "that's ME?" it was the cutest thing...

Big Weekend Plans

So my big project for this weekend is to put all of the video I have so far of Madison onto my computer. I will see how easy and quick this is. Then hopefully the software will know each and every video is different and separate them all out, but I am guessing that I will have to take a lot of time to edit it all. WHEN I HAVE IT DONE I will be so happy. I suppose posting her first crawl or first walk would be silly - but I can say that I DO HAVE THOSE BOTH ON VIDEO. I might not have a single page of her baby book done yet, but darn it I got both of those milestones on video!!!
Or I might take some more of her and then just post that.

Okay - sometimes life just gets in the way

I did not realize that it had been so long since my last post. AND not even any pictures either! Let's see. Madison is still in her big girl bed. She is still refusing to use the potty but she is getting there. Now she will just shut herself in the bathroom and sit on her potty. nothing yet, but perhaps soon...

my birthday was good. Hurricane Ike was not, but we did get to have our friends come and visit for the weekend so that was fun. My friend Lauren (who I have blogged about before!!) and her husband brought their 11 week old baby up and he is adorable! And fun to play with!

I'm a big girl now

Well, we finally did it. We put the toddler rail on Madison's bed... Nap time yesterday was really hard; I finally got her to fall asleep in the floor on a mat. She went down for bed though like a champion! I got her to bed about 8pm and she didn't even try to come out of the room until about 6am this morning! So I think that is a good sign. I took pictures, but I will have to post them tomorrow. I didn't bring them with me today!
